The campsite lies central to many destinations and well-known
interesting places.
The famous royal castles Neuschwanstein, Hohenschwangau and
Linderhof and the monasteries of Ettal and of Benediktbeuern,
the Wieskirche, the new Franz Marc museum in Kochel or also
the open-air museum of Glentleiten are close to Murnau.
Mountain wanderings, also for unskilled nature lovers, on
the mountains situated in the surroundings, make the vacation
the experience.
Renting a bike is also possible
The distance around the lake is 24 km long and offer an enjoyable
walking day. The Staffelsee has seven Islands which one can
reach with the own or a leasehold boat. Sailings, surfing
and fishing (only with fishing permit) are also possible.
